ABSTRACT
Urinary tract infection (UTI) refers to a condition in which there is growth of bacteria within the urinary tract. It’s one of the most common bacterial diseases in children; 5% of girls and 0,5% has been had UTI. Of special importance is the identification of individuals with complicated UTI, those with abnormalities of the kidneys, VUR or bladder dysfunction. Long-term complications include chronic pyelonephritis, renal hypertension, renal failure and end-stage renal disease. Imaging is important in diagnostic of UTI and acute pyelonephritis and determination at risk factors.
