Aim: to evaluate the impact of Impedance Cardiography in changes of patient‘s with heart failure treatment.

Materials and methods: from January till March 2018, 26 patients who suffer from chronic heart failure were involved in this research. Main haemodynamic indexes were measured by using Impedance Cardiography. Medical treatment were evaluated and changed according to results of Impedance Cardiography. Data analysis performed with „IBM SPSS 23.0“ and „MS Office Excel 2010“ programms. Statistical significance level p<0,05.

Results: the results of our study showed that despite intensive treatment, the optimal haemodinamical values were not reached. More than 60 percent of patients had high SVR (systemic vascular resistance) and almost 70 percent – low cardiac index (CI). The changes in treatment after the Impedance Cardiography were made in 61,5 percent of patients. Medication needed to reach optimal haemodinamic parameters after Impedance Cardiography test were statistically significant higher than before (5,65±1,59 and 6,12±1,51, p= 0,001, respectively).

Conclusion: impedance Cardiography is effective and useful diagnostic tool for evaluating haemodinamic parameters in patients with chronic heart failure. It is possible to create and optimal and save treatment strategy for chronically ill patients by following Impedance Cardiography results.
