ABSTRACT

Primary cardiac tumors are rare pathology, with a prevalence of 0,001 – 0,03 %. The biggest part of cardiac neoplasms are benign and can be treated if diagnosed on time. Clinical manifestations of cardiac neoplasms depend on the location of the mass, infiltration of the cardiac tissue and size. Main diagnostic procedure for determination of cardiac tumors is 2D echocardiography, although nowadays cardiac CT, MRI and 3D echocardiography are performed for further information. Cardiac tumors don‘t have specific clinical manifestations so the diagnosis as well as the treatment are very challenging.
